Portal crane Kirovets was commissioned at the Polar Division of MMC Norilsk Nickel

Another “Kirovets” portal crane was commissioned at the Polar Division of MMC Norilsk Nickel.

Portal crane KPP 20(32)-30(20)-10,5K-A5, HL1 "Kirovets" with lifting capacity of 32 tonnes is involved in the work on transshipment of piece goods in the warehouse of the enterprise.

The cranes of this series have a simple design, which allows, if necessary, to carry out a piece-by-piece replacement of broken equipment and wear parts without the use of special complex fixtures and lifting equipment.

Modern “Kirovets” cranes use a frequency control system, which provides energy savings of up to 30% and smooth acceleration and braking of mechanisms. As a consequence, the mechanisms are not subjected to shock loads and this has a positive effect on the crane life - the service life of mechanisms is increased by 50% compared to relay-contactor control system.

The ability to control the lifting/lowering and travelling speeds also reduces the crane's cycle time by approximately 10%.

Assembling, transfer and dock portal cranes "Kirovets" have been successfully used at enterprises in many industries for more than 75 years.
